Not necessarily. Both have their niches. I would actually say the 10900K is better for what it offers in terms of price; even at the cut price of $999, the 10980XE falls short in the face of alternatives like AMD's 24-core or 36-core Threadrippers, which offers significantly better multi-core value. I happen to have a 10980XE, but the only reason why I do is because of In short, don't make your conclusion off of one benchmark alone.
