At first, Redmi will do perfectly fine without any doubt, after six months and above it will start corrupting like it used to. And if I'm not mistaken they put apps before the packaging and run ads in their O.S apps which consider the most annoying thing to be ever done. I think benchmarks were made on the new devices, not the used ones so if we do the benchmarks after the phones have been used there will be a difference. And Samsung is losing away in these midranges because they have to make many choices between being a good brand like they used to and competing with MI. If I have to be honest, Samsung's trying to be cheap as MI and that's the problem starts which is why there are losing their way down here.

For ads, you can disable them via settings of each pre-installed apps such as "Security, Mi Music, File Manager, pack installer, cleaner, and Mi Video" For apps which is pre-installed and you don't use them most, you can easily delete "Galaxy A23 has the same pre-installed apps, but you can't remove some of them such as Facebook"
