Exynos has heating problem. Go for g80. Samsung 9611 had heating issues with camera and simple usage. Returned it twice on Amazon. Then bought F22 with G80. Its only con is HD 720p screen.

Techdude, I'd say that it's pretty even. They trade blows with each other. Let's start with the advantages that the Exynos 9611 has over the Helio G80. For starters, the Exynos 9611 has double the performance cores that the Helio G80 does (4 vs 2 in this case) allowing the 9611 to do more heavy lifting. The Exynos 9611 is also built on a superior node to The Helio G80 (Samsung 10nm vs TSMC 12nm FinFet). The Exynos 9611's performance cores are clocked 15% higher than the Helio G80's. The Exynos 9611 also has a higher-tier GPU as well. Now from what I just said it seems like the helio g80 is getting slaughtered. So let's move on to the G80's advantages. For starters the Helio G80 is built using a superior core architecture. The performance cores and efficiency cores used inside the Helio G80 are far more powerful and efficient than the those in that reside inside of the Exynos 9611. The Helio G80's TDP is nearly 40% lower than that of the Exynos 9611's (Helio G80: 5 Watts / Exynos 9611: 8 Watts) . The Advantages listed for the Exynos 9611 are essentially what help to level the playing field between the 2. The only major advantage for the Helio G80 being that the Exynos 9611 sometimes thermal throttles for no reason.

Get g80. 9611 phones are having heating problems. Bought m31 wid 9611. Heating wen camera app is opened. Returned and got new one, but still same problem. Exynos heating is quite common. G80 phones don't have this problem

Seems like exynos 9611 is a little bit better than G80. I was planning to buy the new Galaxy M32 which has a G80 but its last year's model, Galaxy M31, has a exynos 9611. So am I getting a less powerful and also a less battery efficient phone than last year with no improvements either? The specs are almost identical for both the phones except the cpu which is worse anyway.

Exynos provides you an optimised experience in which it only include those things which can create an illusion for its user to consider Exynos 9611 better processor but helio g80 has concentrated on overall management including the negligible things. Hence i will recommend g80 for overall usage.

WhiteHatBounty, Did you know that pubg settings is depends on the amount of shaders on the GPU and not the performance of it? So comparing that is pretty dumb don't you think?
