I have one of these, purchased in the UK. Battery life is amazing, I can go 2 whole days easily. With light use even longer. Not much performance drop when on battery. The screen (not totally well reviewed in the media) is actually bright and a matt finish, so works well in bright rooms. Colour is a little dull, but if you use Calibrize (an app) you can tweak it to suit your needs. The resolution is 2.5K 16:10 so solid display and because it is bright, I can run it at 60% and still be happy (and that makes the battery go even further). Totally silent most of the time, also runs cold with no fans (meaning efficient CPU). My Geekbench scores out perform some Elite X models and I have X Plus version (10 cores). Was on offer with 1Tb SSD, 16Gb Ram with Snapdragon X Plus for £849 inc VAT and shipping. Built well (aluminum), slightly heavy at 1.4Kg, but nice keyboard and responsive but basic mouse. Great speakers (fire up and down).
Intel & AMD have a problem - these machines are great. I don't play games, and all my mainstream software works, and the gotcha (G Sync) can be solved with a paid app. Finally a Windows machine that kills it for performance, battery life and no noisy fans...
