A56 selfie camera 📷 film only at 30 fps even at 1080p. This is a big downgrade from A54/A55.

A55: Last stand of the A5 seires with microSD slot. I would consider buying a more expensive phone if it did not cost $1200 for a phone with 512 GB. That is crazy.

Overheating? Underperforrming? Another Exynos hater huh. There's a lot of people that hate on things they have never used.

Milan, Thats true, A54 was pretty bad when it comes to overheating, A53 was horrible. But products can improve.. A55 and A56 are so much better when it comes to heat and sustained performance. People basically are like "if exynos 1280 and 1380 were bad, every other exynos is bad". Thats so wrong. By that logic no one should ever use Snapdragons again, since Snapdragon 810 was basically destroying phones cuz it was overheating.

Milan, And also, i have redmi note 13 pro right now and this thing is horrible. I know this snapdragon 7s gen 2 is destroying this phone cuz it overheats so badly for the most basic things and it lags a lot. Not to mention Xiaomi's HyperOS, thats a nightmare.

We'll have to wait another three or four years for another exceptional "A" like the A52s and A55, but this one isn't.

Maybe the future A57 or A58, and probably the A60 if Samsung doesn't change the number

I would love to see another exceptional phone similar to the A71. For the price, you really got a lot, and it wasa selling phone back in 2020. It's still my daily phone in 2026 and I got to say for daily use and casual browsing, it's still holding up.

A56 offered nothing new except maybe the chip but what about the camera, new display tech & bigger battery simply nothing. it's the only one in its class without a telephoto. They even removed such useful feature: the SD card slot yet no cheaper price.

Telephoto? Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus, Realme Note 14 Pro Plus, Honor 400, Vivo V50, Oppo Reno 13—they all don't have a telephoto lens. Even the higher-priced iPhone 16E doesn't have one.

I just picked up a gently used Quantum 5 (A55) here in Korea for under $240 for my wife. Still had the stickers on it and 6 months old. I can't get over how fast it is after turning off the animations I. Developer settings. She doesn't do anything heavy, so it is perfect. Couldn't go with the A56 after the SD card was removed, and this was just too cheap.
