So 7s Gen 2/ 6 Gen 1/ 6 Gen 3/ 6s gen 4 are all practically the same... and all still manufactured by Samsung... just why... 6s Gen 4 could at least be manufactured by TSMC...

Don't worry, I think it is the last budget chipset by samsung..... after that, future snapdragon will be all tsmc...

It's because they have all basically just been factory over clocking to create the next generation so why spend time and money porting the soc design from Samsungs fabs (as they are 1 likely to be cheaper due to historical problems with making super hot running chips and 2 they didn't even put in the effort to upgrade the soc besides overclocking it so what makes you think that they would put in the effort to switch the manufacturing facility) and the lack of people actually doing anything to affect their bottom line so no matter how much tech enthusiasts bemoans about how Samsung fabs make worse hotter running chips than tsmc they don't care as people still buy them so they have little reason to hurry up with the transition to tsmc as people who buy budget socs are less likely to care about a hotter running chip as long as it doesn't make it thermal throttle too much and does what they do 90% of the time smoothly

I think they used the adreno 710 on this chip the same one the 6 gen 3 the GPU scores seem to indicate that although the 6s gen 4 scores are higher great chipset I just why most smartphone manufacturers don't use it on their budget phones clearly is good enough for gaming and Qualcomm cpus are great for day to day usage
