Me and two other friends all have a Motorola G35 (4gb) as a main device and we all hate it. It's not the worst phone I've ever had, but it's really annoying.
I don't know if it is because of de 4gb of RAM, but it's super hard to have one app open in the background. I first noticed it with games, if you got a message and opened it, then the game will restart. I didn't think too much about it because at the end of the day playing games isn't the main reason for why I buy a phone, but the problems started when I wanted to set up my bank account in its app. The bank would send an email with a code, I went to Gmail to copy it, and the bank app would restart, generating a new code and making the one I copied useless. I was able to configure everything when I got home and I checked the code on my PC. And it is like that with everything. There is nothing more annoying than answering a message and then go back to what you were doing only to find that everything resseted (horrible when reading a PDF and losing the page you were on).
The phone gets hot super easily, it doesn't matter if you're playing Pokemon Go or if you're just using Google Maps (This is the only phone I've ever had where Google Maps forces dark mode because of the temperature).
Anything that requires WiFi is so slow at first, and then it picks up. When loading a new page, it may sit idle for like 10 seconds, and then it starts loading. Sometimes it's better to close the browser and restart it than waiting.
The few things that I like about it is that it has 256gb of storage (or 128gb depending wich version you buy) and that the camera is pretty good. It doesn't record at 60fps but the colors are pretty, it is pretty crispy and the lighting is pretty good also.
Overrall, this phone is horrible for using it in your daily basis. I really miss my Motorola G20, it was getting slow for games, but at least I was able to use it as a normal phone (it broke, I can't go back).

Definitely the ram! huge mistake getting a phone with 4GB ram instead of the recommended 8GB or bare minimum 6GB. Dunno if using RAM Extension could aleviate the ram issues since I personally would never buy a phone with 6 worse 4GB of ram as Android & Apps are becoming bloated every year.

Hey! I have the same phone, ask Gemini how to improve ram management in moto g35 5g, it will guide you through many many steps, and after all that, you can keep atleast 2-3 apps in background. Try it out

You should try disabling all the uninstallable apps that you don't use like moto's own app Store or theme store(if they are there)π€
You can go to app management(or it's equivalent) and find lots of apps like glance(not sure if it's in your phone)..... these are not visible in home screen...but use ram....in background

I've been using the Moto G35 for a month now as secondary device. I've been playing Pubg on low quality at 60fps since the last update, with no overheating. Overall performance is good, but I've noticed some differences: one: when watching Crunchyroll, the device gets hot, the Wi-Fi isn't as stable, and the device only restarted once due to a critical error. I have the 4GB RAM version; the 8GB RAM version wouldn't be a match for any mid-range phone in terms of daily performance.
Fun fact:
I have the Edge 40 Pro, and it gets hot when playing PUBG, but not when watching Crunchyroll.

4GB RAM won't cut it nowadays since Android is becoming bloated every version plus adding the apps.
6GB RAM is bare minimum & 8GB recommended.
That's apps or android itself will crash if it runs out of ram, adding virtual won't cut it as it's slow & would kill your internal storage fast.

So many friends of mine keeps telling unisoc chips lacks optimization on games, but they're all are wrong, i played pubg on high graphics with constant 40 - 50fps and codm medium with constant 60fps , and I seen some YouTubers play genshin impact in low graphics with 60fps, and even this chip have 5g and can record 4k 60fps and I brought hmd crest 5g with this chip only for 38000 lkr (125 USD) it's definitely worth it, battery life is just fire I mean I used to play games like 2 hrs, but only 15% of battery have decreased , this chip is definitely a budget monster, thanks unisoc for making budget chipsets like this !!!

Oh yeah, idk why the shading units, total shaders and Flops in mali g57-mc 4 were reduced like 50% of the peak maximum limit on Unisoc t760 and t820, but still have more gaming performance points with higher AnTuTu score than CPU's GPU that have more shading units + more total shaders and Flops, I think this is a bug or something wrong with nanoreveiw π«€

This is a much more battery friendly little bro of T820.
Battery life should be much more significantly longer on heavy/moderate use as it's clocked lower on both cpu & gpu.

It has 2 more core mp4 instead of mp2 but on lower clockspeed but using 4 core GPU gives more better performance

No bro, according to the specifics on paper, it could be even better than others 2ΓA76 with G57 MC2 SoCs. But hard to say, since it's a Unisoc, worry about optimization for this SoC especially in games.

Love to see unisoc pushing some representable budget CPU's in 2024 for more competition. This ain't no way a midranger though due to the poor unisoc optimization and subpar GPU
