All of Intel's scores are fake. They're just for the 157-watt boosted mode, which will likely overheat your laptop. Ryzen is clearly the superior choice.

I have no clue why random people are claiming that AMD lost this battle. Seriously? The single-core performance of Intel is completely overshadowed by the massive multi-core performance gains of AMD. Also, AMD boasts a higher L3 cache. Granted, it's up to the games to utilize it, but still, it's a clear advantage.

I agree completely. The only tasks that utilize single-core performance would be activities related to graphic design or video editing. However, to be frank, it's better to have a PC instead of a laptop for tasks like these anyway.

In my country 7945hx is 300$ more expensive than 13900hx and can handle just bus 5200 ddr5 ram. So i may go with intel.

Ryzen 9 7945HX is best because of less process technology - 5 nm, power consumption - 75 watts, no incomplete cores.

Deluxe, the ryzen 9 clearly lost in this test. The only thing the ryzen 9 won was the vote by readers. Why did so many people vote that ryzen won when clearly it was intel? Don't get it.

Simply because the ryzen is way more efficient due to the 5nm vs 10nm for intel, btw the real tdp for the 13900hx is the max boost tdp (157W) more than twice the 75W of the ryzen 9, in real world the ryzen will run much cooler and will throttle less than the intel especially when the gpu is also pushed to its limit during intensive games.

Fares, Can you help me? I'm looking to purchase a laptop for video editing, graphic design (primarily using Adobe software), and some gaming, including eSports titles, FPS, MOBA, and a few AAA games. Which one would you recommend: 7945hx, 7940hs, 7745hx, 13900hx, or 13700hx? I'm quite confused and could use some advice. 🥲

Lëøn, I would go for the Ryzen 7945hx from AMD. This will give you lower power consumption. Therefore, a laptop with the 7945hx will usually be quieter than a comparable laptop with Intel hardware. The main thing that bothers me about gaming laptops is the noise level. I bought the MSI Alpha 17 (C7VG-031) some time ago. I am still very satisfied.
