4,070 laptops are going for like 2k Canadian dollars, and 5,070 is going for 2.5 to 3k. So if you find something for the same price, go for it. But if you see a $500 increase, I recommend checking other specs like processor, display, and other features. Personally, I wouldn't go for a 5,070 laptop because it's barely any better in real-world use. Unless you care about DLSS 4 frame gen 4x, the 4,070 desktop beats the 5,070 by a bigger margin, like 50-70 more FPS. The 4,070 laptop can easily handle many games at ultra settings 1080p and even do 4K 60FPS without frame gen 2x. For rookie people who think 5,070 is more efficient for battery, just trust me, you're never going to play on battery, and you shouldn't. Anyway, 5,070 won't get you better battery life. For people who want 5,070 desktop performance, they should go for the 5,080. Or if you're looking for a tier for a laptop with close performance to a desktop, go for an RTX 5,060 laptop, which is cheaper and relatively close to a 5,060 desktop but still slower than the 5,070 and 4,070 laptop versions. Also, for rookies who think a 5,070 laptop has 4,090 performance because of NVIDIA glazing, trust me, the 5,070 desktop gets close with DLSS 4. Without it, it's not even close, and the 5,070 desktop is a lot better than the laptop version. So, the laptop might not even get close, even with overclocking. So only go for a laptop if you need portability; otherwise, go for a desktop 5,070, which is going to be more expensive overall with keyboard, monitor, speakers, headsets, or even a chair and desk.

An overclocked 140watt 4070 laptop can give same performance with that. I got 130k geekbench opencl score with oc 140watt 4070
