Been using the Ace 3 for a year now. Although the software is Chinese bloated, I think it's worth the price (it's half the price of the 12R where I am). Some services may be restricted, such as Booking.com, which is region locked. But I think if you're willing to take the risk, you could just flash the Oxygen OS, and it'll be a 12R that cost half of the real deal. I'm currently using the Ace 3 Keqing edition, so I'm not flashing any ROM in here anytime soon. So if you're asking me which one to choose, the Ace 3 will always be the wiser choice no matter how you look at it.

Now I understand how disappointing this site is. They are comparing two identical phones – the 12R, which is for the global market, and the Ace 3, which is the Chinese version. Still, the site claims that the Ace 3 is five percent better.

It is speculated that the OnePlus Ace 3 will have the Pixelworks X7 Gen 2 co-processor, which the 12R lacks.
