It's odd that even after almost doubling the size of the cooling material to enhance thermals, the GPU performance still lags further behind other 8th Gen 3 phones as compared to the S23 Ultra when matched against other 8th Gen 2 phones.

I mean, what do you expect? Oneplus on UK is £849/£899 depending on what variant you are going for. The Galaxy S24 Ultra in UK is £1249 depending on what variant you are going for. Oneplus should be the winner for the price I mean, when you save around £400/£450, just think what you could spend with that! For the price, oneplus is better.

In the U.S., as part of a presale promotion, I was able to get the S24U unlocked 512GB model for $25 less than the OnePlus 12 (16/512). I had to jump through some hoops, but there were no trade-ins involved for either device. The prices were $675 vs. $700, so the decision wasn't a simple one for me. I'm considering selling the S24U to make a profit of around $250-$300 and then buying the OnePlus 12, though I'm not completely sure yet.

Easy choice. Samsung would have won me over if their charging wasn't so slow.
