Absolute beast SoC! Would love to see it in future Nothing phones "a" series.
I think MTK sells exclusivity deals to one or two OEMs for about six months. During that time, OEMs get the chips at a lower price with no competition to worry about, which lets them sell more units (Small gains, huge volume).
The 8450/xx50 naming is probably just a way to bypass those deals, or something agreed on earlier with the 8300/8400 deals will come for all OEMs to buy.
Just look at how cheap they made the Poco X6 Pro and X7 Pro despite their huge performance and features, compared to the Snapdragon 8S series that rivals them but usually costs at least 100โฌ more.
It doesnโt make sense to build a powerful SoC like this for under 300โฌ phones, and not see several OEMs jump on it. Whatever the reason, the 8300/8350 and 8400/8450 are the exact same SoC. Donโt buy into the โstar engineโ MTK marketing, thereโs something else going on here.

It make sense they want to thrive faster in Cheaper Series because They need to make sure Companies Adapt fast When it comes to demand Pricing & performance Mediatek Plan
(LAN) low attractive Numbers
Also Reliability Is getting low because people are tend to Gaze at processor than any other side unless
Performance and number is that high
No matter what edition You buy there is tendency Antutu score Of 8K series is the most wierd Some Are insanely low and some are high even Gaming master edition some reported 50% Decrease performance Not Overheat but permanent side effect

8300 owner, Starspeed is basically a replacement for Mediatek's stock game engine aka HyperEngine. Starspeed engine is a successor to the HyperEngine by providing 10-30% more performance than the regular SoC and also making the frames for games more stable.
