I bought a Lenovo IdeaPad 3 with the 1235u and 8Gb ram which I added another 8Gb to get dual channel. Seems like a pretty good CPU for general computing. I compared it to a slightly cheaper Intel i3 1215u and it looks like the i5 1235u is a better value. I think for a 15Watt CPU this is probably a decent place to start. I know I won't need anything faster for what I do.

Why would the i5 1235U have a better CPU but lower the I-GPU clock speed? I need a good GPU, but they are too expensive so I have Intel iris xe graphics for graphics from an 11th gen i5 1135G7.
