Tough competition. The M5 10-core CPU for single core performance and battery life. The X7 358H CPU for iGPU performance and full X86 access. The latter is better for Ai and gaming. The M5 chip is better for photography, simple tasks, and general compute needs.

problem is that M5 way cheaper in comparison to to the X7. The X7 can be found in laptops in upwards of Β£2k while the M5 in its cheapest format (the M5 macbook air) can only be found for only Β£1k. i find the M5 is more cost effective that the X7 for that matter.

MrBiggestMan, Btw also any laptop with the x7 is still more expensive than even the m5 mbp, which comes with active cooling.
