Switching over from a 5-year-old Dell XPS. The fan noise is nerve-racking and driving me nuts. Sounds like the fan is defective, but some research indicates that this is typical of this model machine. The XPS is much quieter and the keyboard is better. Was looking forward to a new notebook for work and now dreading the next 3 or more years till the warranty expires.
