buddy... that's because you guys are comparing a phone that's almost a year older than the iphone. the s25 series was the competitor for the iphone 16 series, the s26's are the competition for the 17's. Those are only 4 months apart in launch date instead of 8 months.

thatoneguy, ??? 17 only came out 8 or so months after the s25 also the 17 does not "obliterate" the s25U in anything, wtf are you agreeing with him on this???

Istg, literally everyone is praising Samsung's cameras for no reason. Like, "Ooh, Samsung has a 200MP main camera, 100x zoom, and 8K video!!1!1!1! 🤓🤓🤓." Like, who tf cares about 200MP? Who's zooming in that much? Besides, the 100x zoom is digital, so it's blurry and noisy af. They basically only use AI so it can look mediocre. Also, no one cares about 8K; the cameras aren’t good enough to make a difference. iPhones, on the other hand, have actually good cameras with better sharpness, overall detail, and color. They have professional features like ProRes RAW and ProRes RAW HQ. Those are features that professionals use and are not just for bragging and stuff, and the video is better in every single way. Keep crying, Samsung praisers. 🤡

Curious, apple may sell more phones but in terms of innovation speed, they faltered. sales mean nothing if they cant innovate. tim cook already failed what steve jobs achieved - exactly why android always keeps winning and beyond. keep cryin bozos

The information you provided was very wrong. First, the iPhone 17 Pro Max's battery is better than Samsung's, even in the dual-SIM version, but here it seems that they only consider the silent mode, which is funny. Second, the iPhone's brightness was much better in tests. The next thing you're talking about is the sensitivity to light. The iPhone is much better. And in the speakerphone test, there's not that much difference. The iPhone still has a punchier and clearer sound, but its sound is no longer louder.

First, Samsung makes screens for Apple, so of course Samsung would be better. Regarding light sensitivity, both are good; the 0.0000001-second difference wouldn't matter. Third, what do you mean by punchier and clearer sound? They both have Dolby sound, so there is no difference in quality, only in the amount.

Omar, Yes that’s partly true but there is a difference between Samsungs electronics division and its manufacturing division. Apple still designs the screens and Samsung just makes them. It’s not like they just got the screens straight from the Samsung phones and besides, most companies do this anyways so Samsung is not necessarily better

Omar, There’s a huge difference in sound! Samsung has no bass and sounds tinny, while iPhone speakers are much more punchy and sound much better, especially the bottom speaker. My 11 pro max sounds better than s24 ultra.

Best answer. Aaaaand what people FAIL to realize is that both of these companies literally have a history of engaging with (and still do engage in!) quid pro quo with one another consistently. I have no doubt in my mind that, regardless, there is an incentive for both of them to ever so slightly one-up each other; otherwise, we would see a genuine mockery that occurs --- every phone that is released from them would genuinely outshine the competition to a point of no return, esp. factoring in how they are effectively neck-to-neck in most int'l smartphone markets (with due exception of the Anglosphere IIRC). Don't glaze the companies, ladies and gentlemen. The improvements are modest from the pretense of competition; and, by extension, we do see one ever so slightly blow the other company out of the water. But, rest assured (although, much to technological advancement's chagrin!), we see this: Marginal changes that seem majorly, under the auspice of profit and market dominance; and, well, this... inane wars that, if they were actually to exist, we would see technologies before our very eyes like we've never seen or witnessed before. Ranting aside, on a serious note: don't expect them to not try and at least one-up each other ever so slightly...

Your S25Ultra doesn't even stand in top 20 phones with good overwll cameras lol. It's at 21st dude while 17PM is at 3rd position and 16PM at 7th position (dxomark.com) and if you are going to argue" dxomark is not reliable🤓☝️" then cry even harder cause MKBHD, MRWHOTHEBOSS, Versus YT channel compared their cameras and 16PM was indeed greater in quality compared to S25Ultra let alone 17 Pro Max clean sewing S25Ultra. In gaming 17 Pro Max and 16 Pro Max (native), whooped S25Ultra's ahh in everything (tested by Dame Tech using PerfDog and Scene 8). PeakPhone 17PM>> PeakPhone 16PM>>>>>>>>>>>Fraudsung 25"Ultra🤓☝️"

Let's not glaze here. iPhone has a better screen - less res but more color accuracy, no 8 bit panel and higher brightness. iPhone processor is more efficient in single core, almost beats multi core. iPhone camera is better in photo and video (Samsung comes very close in photo) iPhone's battery is better. MAH doesn't matter, A19 Pro is very optimized. With that said, once the S26 Ultra comes out, iPhone's cooked. Snapdragon 8 elite 5 is a beast

Well this aged like dog poo. Multicore scores of Honor Magic 8 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max is going maximum of 10200+ only while on iPhone having A19 Pro, the cores is 10000+ so only a 2% difference and in single core scores A19 Pro is leading it by a 7% margin. And mr. sherlock, if you really think Hawaii event of Qualcomm is legit scores well sorry to break your heart, you won't achieve that score until you are living in Antarctica with Sub-Zero Temps and the brand of phone running your phone has given full 20W supply to chipset alone, (which is M4 Pro's TDP, and that's 40% faster than SD 8E G5 even with full 20W TDP). So cry harder lol, the only thing getting cooked is your battery on Samsung S26Ultra, Xiaomi 17 Pro Max is having 7500mAh and is lastig 5mins longer than iPhone 17 Pro max lol, imagine what will happen to your 5000mAh battery (even considering optimisations) hah, cry harder hangsung fan

17 have bigger cores which matter at most because in performance tasks every app is designed to use max to max single core sometimes double core that's why it's better to have 6 cores for efficiency and power

It's a tough battle between the 2 flagship cellphones. Samsung S25 Ultra has better features, screen resolution, and main camera for daytime photos. Great for those in IT support, inventory management, or managers in general. Especially taking daytime photos at work events or weekend events with the kids. The iPhone 17 Pro Max has a better CPU, nighttime camera, selfie camera, and Apple ecosystem advantage. Great for young adults who party and take many selfies. Especially at the night club or after a gym workout with low lighting.

By daytime photo, you mean 200 Lux brightness intensity or above, because anything below that instantly starts showing why pixel size matters. Apparently, Samsung's S25 Ultra has a 0.6 micron pixel size, while the 17 Pro Max has a pixel size of 1.44 microns (a complete 140% size difference). This means in scorching sunlight, you can maybe utilize the 200 MP completely, but if a cloud covers the sunlight, resulting in a much darker, contrasty image—it might be eye-pleasing to some people—compared to the 17 PM. According to professional photographers, like myself and some of my friends, one of whom purchased the S25 Ultra, he told me, "S25 Ultra's camera's image processing, color science, edge detection in portraits, and the contrasty image generation and worse dark shots are some major flaws of this phone, but the telephoto of this phone is really amazing." Now, look, this guy has a literal $8K DSLR from Hasselblad. This guy took my 16 Pro, captured some photos from it, and he told me, "It's much better than the S25 Ultra at least in terms of image processing, color science, better low-light shots, and edge detection in portraits, though its sensor size is still stopping it from defeating a mid-range ($2K) professional camera, and its telephoto is much worse than the S25 Ultra." In simple terms, he and I were sitting and watching some photos taken by both the 16 Pro and S25 Ultra, comparing them side by side on an external monitor. I'm not going to lie to you guys, but in terms of being closer to a professional camera, the iPhone wins. However, if you want eye-pleasing colors and are just a normal customer who doesn't really care about all this drama, both of these are going to be performing better than your expectations, of course.

Favi12, It's better, than both according to Ken's logic. See 50mp on X200 Pro with bigger sensor size than iPhone so ofc the pixel size on X200 Pro>>16Pro Max. but if we compare iPhone and Samsung iPhone won.

Correction December 10, 2025 at 01:11 PM
Ken, I'm also a photographer. But I'm very surprised you never mentioned pixel binning. If you say the iPhone's 1.44 micron pixels are 2.4 times better than the 0.6 micron pixels from Samsung, that is pretty much just misleading. The sensor sizes are pretty much the same, and so is the aperture, which is what matters the most. If you really want to compare the sensors, make pictures with the same MP count. Don't put it on 200MP and be surprised why the phone jacks up the ISO and shutter speed. Pixel binning isn't as good as native pixels, but the difference should be negligible.
Samsung trash January 14, 2026 at 08:28 AM
Correction, Computational photography and AI denoising hurt the pics, bro. Native had much more color accuracy. Every pixel requires an isolation wall (DTI) to separate it from its neighboring pixel. A 200MP sensor has 200 million walls, creating significant "dead space" on the sensor surface. A native sensor has fewer walls and more active light-gathering silicon. Binning combines the signal, but it cannot recover the light lost to these grid lines. Reading a single pixel creates a tiny amount of electrical static. When you read one large native pixel, you get one unit of noise. Like when you bin 16 small pixels, you are summing up the read noise from 16 separate events. This just results in a higher amount of noise floor for the binned image compared to a native one. Tiny 0.6µm pixels have a very low Full Well Capacity; they fill up and overflow (clip to white) extremely fast. If the individual sub-pixels saturate, the highlight detail is lost before it can be binned. Get it now? Enforcing software to create something, and using hardware to create the same thing, we all know hardware produces better results than software. Though true, what you said, that "difference is negligible," only applies in a lot of conditions (at least in the case of S25 Ultra). As from many reviews I have seen on YouTube, the S25 Ultra produces very bad night shots.
