The snapdragon 8 elite gen 5 beats the apple chip in every single way except single core performance that in the apple chip is 0.5% higher, this ranking is bought by apple honestly.

Core count doesn't matter as much as there performance does you can have 18 weak cores in a processor but a quad core processor with much better ipc and a higher core clock would steam roll it a higher core count can improve performance but it comes at a cost of higher heat generation and power consumption which phones aren't exactly known for there ability to cool down fast and a thermally throttled soc means poor performance like the tensor g1 on paper it should have steamrolled the competition with its dual cortex x1 CPU cores backed with 2 cortex a76 cpu cores and 4 cortex a55 CPU cores and with a massive Mali g78 mp20 gpu but the sheer amount of heat it generated almost instantly made it the laughingstock of the technology world as it was quite a bit slower than the competitors socs and also made the devices they were in into a oven. core count means nothing when you don't consider the performance of the cores, the process node the soc was fabbed at, and the cooling and power consumption

8K recording, in my opinion, won't be very useful for the next few generations. The manufacturers sporting it are mainly doing it for the spec sheet. You can get smoother video with a higher dynamic range at 4K. It might be really crisp, but it's only an awe factor, as it doesn't match the overall quality control 4K has gotten for the past decade.

Honestly 8k recording while cool is kinda useless as 99.9% of people don't own a 8k display to view it on 8k was supposed to be the next great thing years ago but it hasn't panned out yet as even 4k monitor adoption isn't yet dominate yes it's raising but it's not like the world has even fully accepted 4k outside of the tv market especially since how with normal monitor sizes the ppi at 1440p is already acceptable good and 4k is super high ppi meaning that 8k might never be needed for a computer monitor and most definitely never a phone the only place where 8k has made any appearance is in 100+ inch TVs that will leave your bank account crying for mercy and even then the majority of 100 inch TVs are still 4k because who is going to sit two feet away from a 100 inch tv
