But if you use it for 8 hours a day of work, then the intel old lithography will truly make a difference in the bill. And if you use the processor for 4-5 years (which I think is the average), then it needs to be 150USD-200USD cheaper to come even with the ryzen, which it is not, so the ryzen is worth every penny if you are seriously going to use it. Otherwise, for a home pc that runs an hour or two a day - you can go with the intel, provided that it is much cheaper.

hmm, my unbiased choice would be 5600x, bcos it runs all tasks effortlessly at lesser frequency with less power required means more durable its life is more.benchmark shows 6 to 10% more multi tasking performance. cpu fan runs less noisy.

With the price of the 11600kf and the 5600x, its a easy choice for most budget oriented builds as the 11600kf will be in stock and from the pre-orders be cheaper even the motherboard is a easy choice

intels power consumption is too high because of architecture 14nm old. intel rocket lake generation look like cheap but you can see it on the electricity bill

ahmet, Dude stop. At roughly 3 hours per day EVERY DAY of gaming and moderate pc workload, using the National average of about $0.14/kwh ($0.09-$0.21) you’re looking at about $10.70/YEAR with an 11600k vs 5600x Stop the drama about your electric bill.

Mongoose, Another example: for my usecase 6h/day is totally realistic, and in Germany the price diff is 20€ right now, with a similar kwh-price for energy (average). This means that after a year, the price is the same. In any case, a 20€ price difference should not be a deciding factor when it's not even 10% of the total price.
