Ryzen 7 7800X3D for gaming. It is oddly optimized for gaming, but not as good in any other aspect of computing. If all you do with your desktop is general web browsing & game, this is the primary choice. Intel Core i7 14700k after the BIOS update, is great for everything else non-gaming related. Data science, 3D rendering, photo editing, and video editing. Gaming is poorly optimized via the drivers. Intel is working on it, but don't get this CPU if gaming is your primary purpose of your desktop.
