Did intel really fix the instability problems? For gaming I mean 4k gaming which one is better AMD or intel? Based on performance ranking. Here the intel is priced less than the AMD. So it's still question whether to trust intel or not but price wise intel is more affordable and more performance.

Intel extended warranty for 2 years for a total of 5 years. I've had a 13900k since early 2023 and I've had no issues, so I'd say you'll be fine. Worst case you use warranty to get a replacement. Good luck!

If we are to trust the benchmarks, the 9700x will be significantly weaker than the 14700k, while being anywhere from 30% to 50% more expensive. I just switched back to Intel after using 2 AMD CPUs - a real shame about their current instability issues but I decided to risk it instead of staying with AMD. I got the 14700k for 390 euros, undervolted it right out of the box and it's been working like a dream. I don’t play games; to achieve the same or at least close performance with AMD, I’d need at least a 7950x, which now costs around 600 euros (around $60-80 more than it would cost in the U.S for some odd reason). The 9700x will be even weaker and probably around the same price, so even if the AMD 9000 series benchmarks are accurate, Intel remains king despite all the AMD marketing. The difference in power consumption doesn’t even come close to justifying the difference in price unless you’re planning to run that CPU for 10+ years.

wow, So now with benchmarks coming out showing that the 14700k is besting the 9700x... who's getting sucked into the marketing?

A guy, AMD users enjoy watching Intel superlative scores in synthetic benchmarks and burning their silicon...the Ryzen 7 9700x is a magnificent CPU with a very efficient performance and most important does not get cook like intel....the new micro patch does not help at all!!!
