The i9 is fast for sure, but as soon as it is unplugged, it will be like running a Intel i5. While the M2 pro will be cruising, and not to mention the immense battery life difference there is, if you are willing to carry a power brick everywhere and are find an outlet, definitely go for the intel (xps), but if portability is key like for me, the m2 pro has no competition with last more than 2 times longer than the intel and not to mention twice as fast as well, and don't even get me started at the amount of heat dissipated.

Most i9 CPUs will be used for a desktop setup anyway. Either with the latest Geekom IT13 Mini-PC or a self-made tower desktop.

For overall performance choose Intel. Suitable for architecture, construction, & engineering workers or students. Power efficiency chooses Apple. Suitable for general usage.
