The Vostro has a full numeric pad and RJ45 plug. Also, a studier case. Spec'd out the same, the Vostro is probably a better laptop. I've had mine for a few weeks now and except for the 56 wh battery and its tendency to run hot under max loads, I love it. Usually, buy Precisions for their top-drawer build quality. Just couldn't spend 5 grand this time. Got the Vostro at a good price point from Dell. Just need to order an 86wh battery. Already got a nice laptop cooling pad.
