Because I use a case, the material doesn't matter to me. The Redmi's screen is much better and the hardware is almost the same. It's true that the Galaxy's battery is good, but the Redmi charger is 2 times faster. In the camera department, the main camera of the Redmi is good. The other cameras of the Galaxy are good. The software is really better on Samsung and it gets 2 years more updates. Ultimately, the A55 is better, but in my country, the Redmi is $40 cheaper and has a higher purchase value than the Galaxy for me.

Seen them both in real life, Galaxy A55 looks more premium, and from my experience and the people I know, experiences with Xiaomi need to work on its software. Don't be fooled by the numbers. For everyday use, go with something.

I like OneUI more. Would like to see a smaller 6.2" A55 lite. A shame only expensive phones are smaller nowadays.

Don’t compare the Redmi to the A55, those are two different price ranges, if you really want a Xiaomi vs Samsung, it’s got to be a Xiaomi Number-T series versus Galaxy A5X

This is the perfect comparison between the A55 and the Note 13 Pro Plus. On the other hand, the 13T has more upgrades than the A55. And the 12T is older.

The rival of Xiaomi's T series has always been Samsung's Fan Edition series. Your comment, with 25 likes, is strange to me.
