No, it is a renamed cutdown version of Dimensity 9400. Not a version of the current flagship (Dimensity 9500) despite it's naming scheme.

Same but slightly worse at the same time as the only change is they went form Bluetooth 6 to Bluetooth 5.4 they downgraded the Bluetooth why would they do that

In terms of Temperature Dimensity 9500s is heating much more than the 9400 plus and Xiaomi did something aggressive on the system configuration on Redmi Turbo 5 max that causing it to heat. Iqoo Z10 turbo plus and Redmi K80 ultra has better Thermals on Dimensity 9400+

Fahim, Depends on use but interms of Features Dimensity 9500s has Dimensity 9500 Features so 9400+ is outdated by only a little but Performance, 9400+ and 9500s should be close.

It's practically the same but with a bit more downgraded gpu (in my honest opinion if it runs with lower temps it's a no brainer to get to the 9500s but if it's the same temps then I say it's worst than the 9400+ with the same price) But we will see the performance after the reviewers get the phone with it.

9500s is using the same 2nd Generation Scheduling Engine as 9500, while 9400+ doesn't - this may potentially be the reason behind the performance difference we're seeing here. Or perhaps the current few 9500s phones that have currently been benchmarked are simply models that have better thermal dissipation.

No difference, it's just AnTuTu v11 having more points against older SoCs that get tested with AnTuTu v10.

According to MediaTek, 9500s is using the same 2nd Generation Scheduling Engine as 9500, while 9400+ doesn't - perhaps this one difference could explain the score discrepancy. Also of note is the GPU for 9500s may be 11 or 12 core (and that we have to check with the OEM for the specific phone model), while 9400+ is only 12 core, according to MediaTek, which may potentially explain the lower GPU score.

derpes, And NR are wrong. NR have kept mixing up, and using v10 & v11 scores interchangeably the past year in their comparisons. Go to any recent flagship phone the past year and check user submissions and you'll see for yourself that they're posting v11 scores as v10. This is why this comparison doesn't make sense. Neither have they corrected that the 9500s GPU is mp11 and not mp12. Never take the source at face value as fact.
