Due to price hike i think this 2 are better values. Choose Dimensity 9400+ for Brute force performance. Choose Snapdragon 8 Elite for Optimization, Compatibility, Emulations, Drivers.

Both of them are great, as long as I know snapdragon 8 elite has better compatibility and Dimensity 9400 plus has better efficiency, if you use emulators, snapdragon is the only good option, if you don't they are very similar in almost everything.

It's unfortunate that you really can't get any more actual real world reviews in this site, especially on this thread. I'm on neither side but I can't seem to determine which is much more consistent for long term use with heavy gaming. All I'm seeing is the Qualcomm dick riders glazing the hell out of any processors they have made, while shitting on any other brands. There's literally no other real reviews and actual experience here other than talking shit to the other. And this site is supposed to be a place for REVIEWS.

Both are great buddy, if you are going to use emulators go for snapdragon, don't even think about it, but if you won't both are great, and as long as I know 9400+ has better efficiency and thermal stability, but as you said, nobody knows because reviews are full of glazers, the only thing I can tell you for sure is to not buy a device whit MediaTek if you're going to use emulators frequently, as a Xiaomi15 T pro owner, 9400+ is great for everything else and more than enough for any type of task.

Dude, the iQOO 13 in GPU points can go up to a maximum of 28k, and a minimum of 23k, it is still superior to the Dimensity 9400+. And there are also phones that have a higher AnTuTu score than the Dimensity 9400+. In my opinion they should also do a comparison between the Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version (LV) with Dimensity 9400 and 9400+, which is like a "+" version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which improves CPU and GPU frequency

⚖️ Summary: Choosing Between Power and Thermal Efficiency Snapdragon 8 Elite: Ideal for users seeking maximum performance, particularly in short bursts. However, be prepared for higher temperatures and potential throttling during prolonged intensive tasks. Dimensity 9400 Plus: Offers a balanced approach with commendable performance and excellent thermal efficiency, making it suitable for extended use without significant heat concerns.

Snapdragon 8 Elite is more efficient and cooler in games, D9400+ suffers from thermal throttling and is more unstable, efficiency is higher on D9400+, since its younger brother, (D9400) consumes up to 6.2w of energy consumption. In a comparison on a website they compared the Xiaomi 15 pro with Snapdragon 8 Elite, Vivo X200 with Dimensity 9400 and Vivo X200s with Dimensity 9400+ in the demanding game Genshin Impact. The page stated that the Xiaomi 15 pro is 55% better in stability, as at 1% low fps, the Xiaomi 15 pro reached 49 FPS, the Vivo X200 29 FPS and Vivo X200s 31 FPS, In addition, the Xiaomi 15 Pro had a function activated that improves image quality, so it's impressive. Temperature and energy consumption: The power consumption of the 3 cell phones was, Xiaomi 15 pro 2.9w, Vivo X200 2.8w and Vivo X200s 2.6w, remember that the Xiaomi 15 pro had a function activated that improves the image quality, So, it showed that despite having this function active, it did not exceed the energy consumption, if that function had not been active, the power consumption would have been equal to or lower than the Vivo X200s. The temperatures in the Xiaomi 15 pro and Vivo X200 were the same, both 43.5°C, and in the Vivo X200s 41.8°C and Considering that the Xiaomi had this function activated, it is very good and the temperature without the function would have been equal to or lower than the Vivo X200s

8 Elite is literally unmatchable this time. Better luck next time, MediaTek; this time, launching 9400++++ cannot even help. Oryon Phoenix at 4.32 GHz will be unbeatable this time. Qualcomm also surprised this time in the GPU section. Every year, they jump 1.5 lac to 2 lacs in AnTuTu GPU score (8 Gen 1 = 450k, 8 Gen 2 = 600k, 8 Gen 3 = 800k). But this time, they score 1.5x more than last year's 8 Gen 3 by jumping over more than 400k in 8 Elite (1230k+).

Having more points in the GPU the 9400+ is inferior in games, because in Genshin Impact in FPS they gave the same in the Xiaomi 15 pro and Vivo X200s, but in stability it was different, since, in 1% low fps the 9400+ gave 31 FPS, the 9400 in Vivo X200 29 FPS, While the Xiaomi 15 pro only has 49 FPS, according to the page that did the test it is 55% better in stability. And despite the fact that the Xiaomi 15 pro had a function to improve image quality activated, it had no stability problems or overheating problems, only that I spend more battery consumption by having this function activated, (4.9w), Vivo X200 4.8w and Vivo X200s 4.6w. And the page also concluded that the 9400+ has thermal throttling issues.

FPS stability test: When will it appear in the 9400+? We cannot determine which is better until the result appears, and I do not think it will outperform the SD8 Elite, because the 9400 tested 112 FPS in harsh conditions, and I do not think it will jump a lot and satisfy.

I don't think there is much difference between the 9400+ and 9400 in GPU, since the 9400 in 3Dmark stress test does not go over 33 FPS, while the 8 Elite can reach 38 FPS and even reached 40 FPS, so the 9400+ may be slightly inferior or almost equal to the 8 Elite

These guys seem to have been bribed by MediaTek, it seems like they just want MediaTek to be in first place, the Dimensity 9400 was inferior to the SD Elite, but it was still at the top, and now that the 9400+ came out (which is still inferior to the SD Elite) they put it in the top 1 and the 9400 was lowered many places

MediaTek runs cooler and is more battery efficient on well-balanced phones. Given the lower price bracket, it's a well-balanced chip. The 8 Elite runs crazy fast but also at crazy hot temperatures like 45 degrees compared to the Dimensity 9400 max at 38 degrees. Buying the first generation of any chip is not good; 2nd and 3rd gen 8 Elite will be way better.

Wrong, both Mediatek and Snapdragon are very close to each other, but the way you speak looks like you're a Snapdragon boy

The 9400/9400+ offers better sustained performance. Believe me, I've seen so many tests that prove it.

Tell that to demanding games like Genshin Impact, the minimum the Snapdragon 8 Elite reaches is 49 FPS and D9400+ reaches a minimum of 31 FPS and D9400 29 FPS

You don't accept reality, Snapdragon won all the tests and yet you're here saying that it's those on Snapdragon's side who don't accept reality.

Mediatek is very close probably the closet they Have ever been, but they are still a little behind even with a plus version , snapdragon 8 elite for galaxy is better than this , and let's not forget Redmagic and snapdragon always Collab for a leading version of the chip for Redmagic's S series device ,and we will probably see Redmagic 10s series with leading version of snapdragon 8 elite ...

Snapdragon is very great, even though Dimensity has released a plus variant, the score is still much better than MediaTek 😂, and Snapdragon is still the mainstay for the highest variant in every brand
