Go for an older flagship than a recent midrange. I can assure you that my redmi note 15 isn't better than an S20 and I'd still even choose an S10 over it. Helio chipset are only meant for scrolling. The gaming performance is an absolute disgrace to tech innovation honestly

Emmex, But then, you’d significantly sacrifice battery life and futureproofing and future app/OS support, an older flagship that’s more than 2 years old is never worth it.

Anonymous , Dude how ass can your reply actually be πŸ™πŸ˜. "An older flagship more than 2 years is never worth it" so in your jurisdiction an s24ultra is significantly weaker than an A57, don't make me laugh. The only thing to consider is battery in which there are + series with bigger battery and with a flagship lvl chip like the 8gen 1 the 4700mah would last similarly to a 6000mah with a Midrange chip like a g100. Obviously you're gonna get slight trade off but what's so bad at charging your phone twice a day huh. And your talking about security and future updates, bruh i know someone using an S10 in 2026 and his phone works just fine, he can download whatever app he wants without getting notifications of software update, the rumour of virus entering your phone due to lower software version is honestly baloney, unless the user like entering restricted apps on the web or click pop up links. Dude even an iPhone 7 has noticeably better features than the redmi note 15 no cap. The battery of the iPhone 7 is ass yes but the cameras are miles ahead it despite coming out in 2016, 9years difference and it still couldn't beat it. The A10 bionic has a noticeable better raw power, the chip throttles fast yes within literally 2mins, but the GPU and CPU efficiency is better than the g100. I was playing farligh 84 back in 2025 and I tested these two phones, the iPhone 7 can carry up to hd graphics with 50fps settings, it's actually unplayable cus of lags and throttling so I put it on lowest for better performance, the g100 could only carry balanced graphics at 50fps and it was just as laggy as the iPhone 7 despite having lesser graphics config. And in farligh84 the graphics are; "minimal, smooth, balanced, hd, HDR, extreme and peak". Honestly speaking most flagship of 4years ago is undoubtedly better than Morden Midrand. With the sole exception of Poco series of course, they have the potential to rival older flagship and beat them majorly in cases of performance and daily usability but not features and cameras
