8 gen 1 has heating issues making it not sustain its performance under load. I would rather take the 7 gen 3 than the unstable heating 8 gen 1. Its evident from the 7 gen 3 being able to train the flaghip soc with newer cores and without any cortex X core.

You get what you pay for. Price range matters and what Gen 3 7 is offering at that price range is worthy of praise.

The 8 gen 1 wins easily, but for the price charged and what the 7 gen 3 offers, it is great, very optimized and offers excellent performance
