Tried both Snapdragon 8s gen 4 with (Redmi Turbo 4 Pro) and Dimensity 9400e (OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition CHINA), the OnePlus was able to outperform Redmi in most games such as Wildrift, Codm, Minecraft (with heavy Vibrant Visuals pack), Subnautica, Where winds meet. although the performance differ is not that high, Dimensity 9400e is just a tad better and less heating compared to Snapdragon 8s gen 4

ive tried 8s gen 4 on iqoo neo 10, and i can say that its 7/10. the main reason why is the efficiency, somehow even when the phone is not used it still can drain decent amount of battery percentage. 9400e on the other hands, ive seen that it has better fps stability which is certainly better if you are hardcore player who needs something to rely on. mediatek has also better connectivity apparently so better stability on ping as well.

if u want gaming just trust me and go with 8s gen 4 cpu optimization is not important both use arm cores so same cpu optimization but but GPU optimization is far better on Adreno GPU there is no doubt and games like pubg depend mainly on GPU just go with it

While it's true that the Dimensity 9400e packs four Cortex-X4 cores, which are built purely for performance, it clearly outshines the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 when it comes to maximum raw power. So, if you're chasing top-tier performance for gaming, intensive AI processing, or demanding workloads, the 9400e is the better pick. However, for day-to-day tasks and moderate usage, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 pulls ahead. Its more balanced CPU layout and better power efficiency make it ideal for smoother, longer-lasting everyday performance without overheating or battery drain. It’s also worth noting that while the 3.4 GHz Cortex-X4 core in the 9400e is impressive, it will mostly activate during heavy tasks like gaming, on-device AI, or multitasking under load. For casual use, the efficiency-focused design of the 8s Gen 3 is more practical. That said, content consumption such as streaming and media playback is actually better on the 9400e, thanks to its superior GPU and multimedia capabilities, which give it an edge in rendering and visual quality.

Dissagree, mali gpu overal hinger clock speed, total shader and flops. Also real life test so much better performance and stabilty on gaming.

(1X+5 A720) Big cores with High clock Speed VS (4 Big X cores) with High Clock Speed in gaming only high clock cores used so who will be better ?

some games rely on Prime core and most apps use Performance core Note phone can't fully utilize all cores so even 4pcs X4 on 9400e vs 1pc X4 8sgen4 the gap is not too far cuz of utilization

kem, 4 X is better games most times depend on first 2 or 4 stronget Cores not first 6 or 8 also being strong 4 cores reduce delay between cores very much this will reduce lag alot and it also increase cash between little number of strong coers this make difference also

Although, Snapdragon processors are slightly always ahead of Mediatek DM but this time It's making me feel that from the overall comparison that MD 9400e has overcome Qualcomm SD 8s gen 4.

Still saying β€œSnapdragon better than MTK” is outdated. The Dimensity 9400e uses a 3nm process, has better CPU efficiency, and a more powerful GPU (Immortalis-G925) than the 8s Gen 4. It also supports higher memory bandwidth (85.3 GB/s vs 76.8 GB/s) and stronger AI performance with the MediaTek NPU 890. While 8s Gen 4 might sustain performance better in some thermally-limited phones, the 9400e dominates in raw power. And yes, it can absolutely hit 60 FPS in Winlator with proper optimization don’t underestimate modern MTK. This ain’t 2021. MediaTek's caught up, and in many areas, surpassed Snapdragon.

Zeroweek, Excluding photo and video capabilities, MediaTek leads in almost every aspect. Power efficiency is somewhat debatable Snapdragon has dedicated efficiency cores, while MediaTek benefits from a more advanced 3nm process.
