Efficiency is on a same level as top tier 2nm chip, particularly a20pro. Definitely, XR O3 outperform, outplay & outdesign all .. ✔ *bonus info .. Xring O3 adds a key feature for Windows game emulation! (source: notebookcheck.net) ✊ p.s. .. others put some new score points from nothing, and that's "extremely" pathetic 👎

Those scores aren't accurate for the Xring O3. The average Geekbench single-core score for the O3 is around 3,945+, and multi-core easily exceeds 15,000 in official tests. The 3,582 / 12,500 numbers you quoted are closer to the older Xring O1 generation or you heard a wrong information.

Hmm the only thing that will hold back this chips are their Body(phone body) Unless Xiaomi planned to install Cooling fan on it like Redmi K90 Ultra and Max. That would be enough to sustain it. And some Fine Tune like sweetspot sustained performance than always at max performance that looks unstable at long run.
Avatar
Some dude September 3, 2026 at 07:41 AM
It can't sustain its peak performance for as long, sure, but even if Xiaomi can only implement a thermal design capable of handling 6–10 W of continuous power draw, the performance should still be enough to equal or beat all current flagships running at their peak. And since it's their in-house SoC, they have much more freedom to optimize its efficiency through both hardware and software.

Ahmad, LogicFolding teh for making a SoC is a new way implementing a Tau Law, or we can call it a first Warp Speed chip, bending the time (tau) & space. The point of all of this is 3nm~2nm performance & efficiency. Kirin, or Fabergé is a masterpiece on a lot of levels, so we can wait a brand new one.

pavlecom, Besides the HiSilicon engineers are very familiar with arm teh, they have a very huge engineers base, who have some domestic working prototype EUV's. It's not very hard to test & polish to make a blueprint for soc, tsmc only a mass produce them for XR. It's not a coincidence, a newbie made their first O1 chip a very good, and the second one O3 extra good! You need some experience expert hands on that. bonus info: XR O3 use a CXMT LPDDR6

And this is what happens when a competent maker has access to the edge tech. Take in consideration, the best performance might come with the tablets (it might use the 30w), but as for phones, might come with weaker scores due the thermals. Still is on par with the top dogs.

Google...THIS is how you MAKE a GOOD SoC. And not your sad hot trash called Tensor G6. The fact that Xiaomi...on their SECOND generation of SoCs...absolute goes toe-to-toe with the top dogs D9500 and 8EliteGen 5. And as showcased by Geekerwan, this SoC also has better efficiency than both SD and Dimensity chips. Lets be real, the only reason Google developed Tensor...is NOT to have better AI computing capability on their phones.....its to have a CHEAPER SoC so they can cut more corners and increase profit margins at the EXPENSE of their users.

The GPU hits this score (2.1M+) largely thanks to increased LPDDR6 RAM bandwidth, driven by a wider bus-width: 24 Bit vs 16 Bit, achieving a bandwidth of 113GB/s, close to a base M4 chip (120GB/s), not to dismiss the GPU's own power and the top of the line 16-core configuration, which chews through the battery.
