I don't understand the +29% performance improvement for M4 max in cinebench R32. Where does that come from? Both cpus have the same number of performance and efficiency cores, both have the same frequencies for performance and efficiency cores. They are identical in terms of specifications as presented here. Then the questions remains where does the difference come from?

Stefano, I thought Cinenbench R32 was for rendering on cpu, to test cpu intensive tasks? Wasn't aware it also uses gpu in combination with cpu for the rendering.

anonymous, If this test is CPU based, then 29% might exactly reflect higher memory bandwidth. A lot of cpu tasks are memory bounded while CPU is fast enough to handle higher input data.
