We cannot compare the cpu in terms of only gaming performance we should also look to the performance in productivity like video and photo editing where high multi core performance requires and here the i9 14900k wins

with the same price the difference in fps between these two CPUs is not much different from testing in the game cyber punk 2077 even though the i9's tdp and temperature are higher and the i9 has more multi-core cinebench and geekbench scores, but in certain games the ryzen 7 9800x3d can dominate
