7 Gen 3 has more shading units, did it affecting the graphic most of the game?

No, the MediaTek has higher pipelines and, I think, more cores. The difference will be in support and emulators.

I'm just wondering, even if the SD7Gen3 has the newer, 2gens away A715 than DM8200's older A78 which just higher clockspeed, how did it get this high score? Is Mediatek cheating on the benchmark scores again like they're doing it way back?... lol Or maybe, Snapdragon is just really unoptimized anymore like it used to be?

Lol you don't know how bad is A715 in thermals? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ and D8100 already beat 8 gen 1 below

SD 7 Gen 3 has almost the same performance as DM 8200, but DM 8200 is slightly more powerful. If you're going to play emulator, then get the SD 7 Gen 3.

if you only want gaming then choose 7gen3, but if you want overall then Dimensity 8200. 7gen3 just runs cooler, efficient, and more stable, perfect for gaming. that doesnt mean 8200 is not good for gaming tho, its just that the soc runs a bit hotter, but its still depends on the brand of the phone. Ive used Xiaomi 13T and after 30minutes of heavy gaming the soc began thermal throttling. so if you want to use 13T for heavy gaming you better combo it with a fancooler.

Couldn't agree more dude. Snapdragon fanboy can't accept that the 7 gen 3 SoC which released in 2023 can't beat even be slaughtered by the Dimensity 8200 which released in 2022 😁

It's pathetic how Qualcomm only achieved parity with the 8200 in almost a year.

Both of the SoCs are very powerful. The CPU quality is better and more future-proof in the 7th Gen 3 as compared to the Dimensity 8200. The CPU scores are higher in the 8200 due to its very high clock speed. However, high clock speed with old cores cannot provide consistent performance, causing frame drops and instabilities. The GPU is slightly better in the 7th Gen 3. The Adreno 720 outperforms the Mali G610. The ranking is as follows: Adreno 660 > Adreno 720 > Mali G610 > Adreno 650. However, their performances are very closely matched.

The 4nm process makes a big difference. There is no difference in the CPU - it's just optimization.

7th Gen i3, minimum heat, maximum power, no throttling. The 8200 model runs too hot.

Yes, 7 gen 3 wins easily besides its architecture being more modern.

King Miracle., Nah uh, SD 7 gen 3 is still better in gaming, the GPU in SD 7 gen 3 is better than D8200 and GPU (graphics preference unit) handles the graphics that's why it the GPU is better it means it's better in gaming HHAHAHAHAHAA don't glaze the D8200

ShAORI, Really? Then what about the CPU? Given that the 7 Gen 3 is equipped with cortex A71x cores and Cortex A5xx cores (which were also part of the choice of cores used in the overheating SD 8 Gen 1), sure it may perform better but it's more prone to overheating. The D8200, on the other hand, may perform slightly worse but also sustains performance for longer. Given that most games nowadays rely on CPU bottleneck for performance, having a better GPU won't matter if your CPU can't handle such loads for a long period of time

Khaos, The GPU in the Dimensity 8200 supports RAY TRACING; SOMETHING THE 7 gen 3 doesn't.

Mushero, The Dimensity 8300 doesn't overheat because of the architecture, but because of its high clock speeds (3.35GHz CPU and 1400MHz GPU).

ShAORI, Seems like you pulled this information outta the toilet. How is the gpu better, it has less execution units, less shaders, and less FLOPS. Though it has better cpu, the A7xx series and A5xx series thermal throttles resulting in poor performance, where as A7x and A5x don't thermal throttle meaning sustained performance
