The 2100 is old, even if it's still a few steps ahead, but the 1480 has a better strategy. I have been using the S21 FE for several months and it gets very hot. Even after the update, this problem was not solved well. Record three or four minutes of video (4K at 60fps) with it, and the phone becomes a heater, sometimes even so hot that it limits access (flashlight or camera). But some games are still not optimized for 1480, but the optimal power consumption and excellent thermal control of this chip is really better than 2100.

Although the 1480 is a step behind, it is more modern and polished

I owned an S21 FE. It was horribly overheating, and its battery was really bad given the promised capacity (4500mAh is not a small capacity). The Exynos 1480 is based on a new, polished, and improved 4nm node that so far in the Exynos 2400, has not been giving problems like the ones I mentioned. The specs of Exynos 1480 aren't too far off from the Exynos 2100, and on top of that... it maintains better temperatures and energy efficiency.
