I choosed 8845hs over 14700hx at same price with rtx 4060, the reason is 4nm and efficient, Intel's 10nm process with 20 cores is just abroad my thinkings, Moreover 780m the iGPU benefit me a lot, while recording my gameplay I run games on rtx 4060 and all the recording work is handled by iGPU 780m, if you prefer reliability/efficiency/iGPU benefits go with Ryzen 8845hs and go with 14700hx for raw performance, (upgrade ram to 32gb and make cooling system more better to benefit more from 14700hx)

Let's be honest, you're not really getting this for the cpu, but for the gpu, 780m.

Both are good CPU for laptops. The difference is in it's use case scenarios for example as a blender user like me :- will choose Intel over and because of high clock speed cores. But my friend is a non blender or 3d type application user so he basically uses editing apps and music development application and day to day works on his laptop with a gaming channel as a second income source, so if we took him for a user as example then he will choose Amd over Intel because of it's better performance cores and low wattage usage ( it varies game to game for watts usage so keep it in mind). Conclusion:- It totally depends upon your use case scenarios. Choose wisely and do research before purchase and always see Nanoreview( non-sponsored). Correct me if i am wrong. Thank you.

For video editing i7 14700hx would be great as video editing demands more processor cache and higher per core clock speed Gaming will be same for both,1% lows fps will be better with i7 due to higher clock speed

Guidedorphas10, It depends upon your room temperature or your working environment. Prevention:- if we use both airconditioner and laptop cooler when using Intel laptops then in my opinion it's battery wil not be damaged or show any swelling effect. Correct me if i am wrong. Thank you.
