Also, why is Apple A18 missing so many features as compared to Apple Bionic A16? are the features missing for good or bad?

A18 is not missing important features compared to A16. The differences mainly come from marketing names, device features, and product tiering. Technically, A18 is faster, more efficient, and much better for AI.

bionic is just a naming convention

โ€œBionicโ€ was mainly a marketing name Apple used for chips like Apple A16 Bionic. Newer chips such as Apple A18 no longer use the word โ€œBionic,โ€ but the technology is essentially the same (CPU, GPU, Neural Engine, AI processing, camera processing). Apple likely dropped the โ€œBionicโ€ label to simplify naming and focus on โ€œProโ€ chip tiers, like Apple A18 Pro.
