I wonder why Dimensity 8300 didn't utilise X4 core or at least X3 core. If Dimensity 8300 is like 1 x cortex X4 at 3.25 Ghz + 3 x cortex A715 at 3.15 Ghz + 4 x cortex A520 (not A510) at 2.25 Ghz, it could be able to take on not only snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, but also snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or 8s Gen 3, provided that the GPU is Mali G720 MP8, if not MP10. Anyway, I hope Dimensity 8400 will be like 1 x cortex X4/ even cortex X925 at 3.35 Ghz + 3 x cortex A720/even A725 at 3.15 Ghz + 4 x cortex A520 (2024) at 2.25 Ghz, with Mali Immortalis G925 MP10 so that it could destroy snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and even 8 Gen 3, huh๐Ÿ˜’๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ž๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜“

That's because of the cost. High-performance cores costs more to manufacture. For me, I'll prefer the 8300 over the 7+gen 3.

Between Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 and Dimensity 8300, I prefer Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, a little, not much. I wish Dimensity could utilize X4 core at perhaps 3.15 GHz, 3 x Cortex A720 core at 2.85 GHz, and 4 x Cortex A520 at 2.25GHz, and utilize Mali G720 at MP8, if not MP10, so that it would not only be faster than Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, but would be on par with Snapdragon 8S Gen 3 in CPU and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in GPU. Anyway, that's my wishful thinking only and right now, all I'm thinking about is the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and Dimensity 9500 SoCs. I'm a fan of MediaTek SoC, especially the top of the line Dimensity processors like the Dimensity 9000 series. I wish the Dimensity 9500 features 1 x Cortex X5 at 3.59 GHz + 2 x Cortex A730 at 3.35 GHz+ 2 x Cortex A730 at 3.15 GHz + 3 x Cortex A530 at 2.35 GHz and Mali G730 Immortalis at MP15 GPU. I think Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is going to use its custom cores. Therefore, it might be like 2 x Oryon core at 3.65 GHz + 3 x Oryon core at 3.25 GHz + 3 x Cortex A530 at 2.25GHz and Adreno 850 GPU. Well, I'm not familiar with the custom core of Qualcomm's Snapdragon, so, I can't really think of how Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is going to come out. One thing is certain though, i.e., both the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and Dimensity 9500 would be very powerful processors and what's important would be how efficient they are, as they will both be built using TSMC 3nm node.

The AnTuTu benchmark score is abnormal. How can the 7+ Gen 3 score higher than the 8s Gen 3 in CPU when the 8s Gen 3 has the same core configuration but higher clocks? Why is the UX and memory score so low (compared to D8300 and 8sg3) when it uses UFS 4.0 (the one benchmarked might use 3.1), and LPDDR5X?

Dimensity 8300 is a great processor; it's stable and doesn't freeze or reboot, and doesn't drop frames. However, even the Helio G99 is great on mid-low devices. In other words, MediaTek is better than other processors. Even if the CPU gets hot at high temperatures, the CPU will still run on the same performance without issue. But other CPUs like Snapdragon or Exynos will drop down or freeze. I made the test between Helio G99 vs. Snapdragon 695 on a game. Snapdragon freezes after a while, Helio G99 didn't.

Not at all, on the contrary, the Dimensity 8300 is super unstable, and reaches temperatures of up to 50 degrees, I have the 7+ gen 3 and for a long time at room temperat, The 7+ gen3 doesn't go over 40ยฐ either, it's emulator compatible and more optimized, and will be even more optimized in the future, and don't base your experience on the helio g99 and the Snapdragon 695, base it on real processors.

No le sabes, Nope, Dimensity 8300 does not reach a whopping 50degrees, if it did, its probably due to some app you are using or your phone operating system is misconfiguring the chipset. I have the Lenovo xiaoxin pad pro 12.7(2025). I play genshin impact on it, at best highest temp is 35-37degrees celcius.

No le sabes, Absolute BS. The D8300 is stable af. Even the 8s gen 3 on the F6 can't beat that stability. Here's the difference between Adreno drivers vs Mali drivers (real-world difference) On paper: Adreno (F6) > Mali (X6P) In reality on POCO phones: Adreno drivers rely heavily on OEM tuning POCO played it safe on F6: more limits Mali drivers on X6P are: Simpler and more efficient. Less dynamic throttling So FPS looks more โ€œfreeโ€, even if peak performance is lower.

Wow, someone is hugely misinformed, huh? Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 utilizes X4 core at 2.8 GHz, not Cortex A715. In fact, it doesn't use any Cortex A715 cores at all. If you were going to correct someone, just make sure you have the right information so that you will not be embarrassed.

The Dimensity 8300 has a superior GPU compared to the 7+G3, however, the 7+G3 boasts a better CPU architecture. Although the DM 8300 struggles with running emulator games - a problem not found in the 7+G3 - it prompts the question of stability if used by Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus, or potentially in Xiaomi's upcoming 14T series.

No, it's more akin to a mini Gen 3 of the 8 series, due to its new architecture. This is unlike the previous Gen 2 of the 7+ series, which was an under-clocked version of Gen 1 from the 8 series.

Light, However, it is now an underclocked version of the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 because the 7+ Gen 3 has a lower clock speed and less powerful GPU than the 8s Gen 3. Just think about how much more superior the 8 Gen 3 is.

As a fan of MediaTek, I hope the 7 Plus Gen 3 doesn't end up with the same consequences as the 8300, which was due to Xiaomi's influence. Ideally, this model should be optimized in a manner that the 8300 wasn'tโ€”this was Xiaomi's error, not an issue with the chip itself. I'm a big fan of the Dimensity 8300 and would hate to see the 7+ gen3 fall into the same pitfalls. If it does, it'll likely be due to an operating system defect, rather than the chip itself.

The 7+ Gen 3 saw a significant upgrade; I hope Xiaomi doesn't struggle utilizing the 8s Gen 3 on the Poco F6 (non Pro). One of the factors contributing to the 8300's defeat was its CPU architectureโ€”while the 7+ Gen 3 boasts a Cortex-X4, MediaTek would be quite a competitor if it had a Cortex X3.
