The 8 Gen 5 is already more than enough for everyday use. Tbh, the difference is so negligible that you can't really get most of the 8 Elite Gen 5, even with console emulation.

Why you have oneplus 15 on both snapdragon 8 gen 5 and snapdragon elite gen 5. It is an 8 elite gen 5 not 8 gen 5.

so basically a rebranded 8s, I was hoping for a slightly crippled (ie. 1-2 less cores) 8 elite gen 5, how disappointing

Anon, You Say something and then you reply to yourself and blame yourself nice so you think what's thedifference between S8 Gen3 and S8s Gen3 ??? both have same type of Cpu with different frequency same Gpu with different core same memory with different frequency so thats look like rebranded 8s

Anon, it's literally a rebranded 8s, the modem is different, the GPU is different, the node is probably different or the cores themselves are 8 Elite (seeing the 4.6 vs 3.8 huge difference), everything is different you and the +41 don't know what you are talking about

wrong, Tf are you saying bro, you never seen the core difference, both 8 gen 5 and 8 elite gen 5 had the same oryon cores while 8s gen 4 had different 4 bunch of arm cores and those are not custom cores unlike oryon cores and 8s series is more of a upper midrange or lower tier flagship while 8 gen and 8 elite gen are both gaming or higher tier flagships
