Exynos 1580 keeps overheating in basic tasks & gets warm very fast not long period using even while no gaming & shutting Bluetooth and everything else even the Wi-fi. Although the performance didn't drop while gaming it gets so hot that's it's annoying. I know the material is honest factor here but that means phones with exynos processors won't age well. I really hope the motherboard doesn't burn or I'll never buy Samsung again.

This is literally fasle if you look at the exynos 1380 that thing is already optimized to the brim because the A26 (1380) 5G can run genshin smoothly on medium graphics. And motherboard doesn't burn ? Dude the only way the motherboard would burn is by accidentally ignating the battery.

Exynos 1580's Antutu scores has crossed 920k most the reviews and test videos. Also i don't think SD 888 can beat it in GPU. So, dear admin i hope you will update 1580's GPU rating minimum 42 also update it's highest antutu score.

But it is decent uplift, gen-to-gen. In a few years, we might even look at SD 8 Gen 2 levels of performance.

The 8 gen 2 is like any flagship phone someday it will be weak So it's normal to the processors to be as strong

1480 on my a55 handles switch emulation pretty well, now the 1580 with rdna3, double the shading units and 4 pipelines is gonna be godly in emulation.

Might as well stuff the Exynos 2200 in this and call it a day at least that would have given noticeable improvements in performance

No. Exynos 2200 has issues with thermal throttling. These midrange chips are more power efficient and reliable but only lacking in performance on the higher end gaming and processing power. But still 1580 is close to 888 performance without the heating issues.

Lol, Yes. My Samsung A55 has the Exynos 1480 and its sustained performance is brilliant and it barely warms up no matter what task I trhow at it. I expect the Exynos 1580 to be the same, just a bit more powerful.

Yous, And how does that make the situation any less embarrassing? Samsung could almost match a 4-year-old, nearly out-of-support Exynos SoC from 2021. (Pity the GPU is still not even close.) Ideally, the A56 with the 1580 should be around where the Exynos 2200 was, except this time without throttling or battery drains. But instead, it still fights with and loses against the S21... And this is supposed to last 7 years?

Disappointment, If you compare with the midrange SOCs of Snapdragon and MediaTek, you wouldn't see any noticeable difference. The Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 is weaker than the 865, and it's 4 years newer, so Samsung is not too late. Actually, the Exynos 1580 is better in multi-core by a lot; it's even better than Exynos 2200. It's only the single core that is like Exynos 2100, but the GPU, I think, is still at the 2100 level. It's not that bad; the Exynos 2100 was a big leap from the disaster 990.

Lol, Higher end processing power means jacksht when the phones gonna drop down to something like 60% max perf after 20 mins of gaming. If 1580 can maintain a higger stable performance say 85% of its max, and that turns out to be like 75% of sd888, than its much better than the 888

Yous, The problem is that people think that the SD 7+ Gen 3 or D8300 are the only midrange chips, like bro, these chips are barely used on a few phones that their main priority is performance (and cut every other corner like cameras) like Xiaomi Poco phones or Realme GT phones, on any other midranges phones like Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus or Realme 14 Pro Plus they use SD 7s Gen 3 or D7350 that are worse than the Exynos 1580

Mustafa, Who says? It's made with Amd as collaboration. Off course it's good than Mali. I know you want adreno to use custom driver for switch emulator, but if the emulator is good then you don't need custom driver at all. The switch emulation is considered illegal by Nintendo so you don't have to rely on that. The Xclipse gpu can handle many emulators and heavy games. Just look for it on YouTube.

If Exynos 1580 is going to offer better score in 3D Mark than Dimensity 1200 then im buying the next year Galaxy A56, if not, then im settling with a used Samsung flagship, cause why spend 500$ on a phone that is worse in every aspect than used 500$ S23 Ultra

Buying a used flagship Samsung phone is not really recommended. They don't get newer software updates. And they recently discovered to have green line and Flicker issues because of the dynamic amoled except note 10 series which is too old. Meanwhile A series use super amoled and thicker bezels actually to prevent green line or damage to the screen.

Hi Serhii , I believed you are admin and read all the comments but now I want to ask you a question. Why do you always kill Samsung processors and make them the least energy efficient and fix 86 points no matter what the processor is (I know that there are problems with the energy efficiency of Exynos processors, but this is old talk) because whether the Exynos 1480 or Exynos 1580 processors are very powerful processors in energy saving, heat management and stability, and the Exynos 1480 processor from last year has proven that, but now, although it has become clear to you that the Exynos 1480 processor from last year is an excellent processor in all aspects, including energy efficiency and saving, your rating for it remained 86 in the battery, and here we see this year you are setting the same number, knowing that the Exynos 1580 processor will be more energy efficient, and this is due to the fact that it was built or designed on Samsung's latest architecture to date, the third-generation 4nm EUV2 FinFET process. I hope you understand my point of view, and I also think that the rating of 90 or 91 in battery efficiency on your site is not much for an Exynos processor 1580 Thank you For your understanding and I hope to see a change in this point soon..

Speak Volume bro, totally agree with you, Even the Snapdragon processor has always be assigned a value figure of nothing beyond 91 in energy efficiency in most of their processors in this site. Thanks for speaking up to thisπŸ‘
