This is just sad. Tensor is getting eaten by now midrange level chips. Why doesn't Google tap Samsung's partnership with AMD? At least this way they can compete on the GPU front.

"8 Gen 1" isn't midrange just yet. "888" could be considered midrange. Besides, Mali GPUs are highly competitive; it's just that Google didn't use more cores. They use only 7 cores, but could have gone for 11, like Dimensity 9200.
