You fool how could you choose d8300 over 92000 plus have y'all out of your mind . Interms of thermal d9200 win because it is not an over clock version it is meant to run at that clock speed naturally without any pressure wer as d8300 with a715 is overclock and yeah you can get that performance almost the same as 9200 but good luck with thermal throttling and overheating .. inshort overclocking to get the same performance is not a good choice it will generate more heat and throttling chosee wisely

In my opinion, I just prefer 8300 because in terms of budget, 8300 takes the win. Also the TDP of 8300 is much lower than the 9200 chipset, that means you can use it for longer time when playing heavy games and that makes it efficient. The performance isn't that much noticable in other games like COD, Roblox, and Mobile Legends. Correct me if I'm wrong

Yeah those games are not heavy duty. In terms of high graphic games like genshin, you should probably go for 9200+, the performance on my xiaomi 13t pro really kills my poco x6 pro

TBH, all the REAL difference is 4 MB larger L3 cache, which explains slightly better performance. Looks like CPU's are almost really same (they both use ARM v9-A instruction set), but with difference in design (different cores, which should give more battery to 9200; but 9200 have higher TDP, so i guess, battery life goes to 8200). VERDICT: if u want a bit (not more) higher performance - choose 9200, if u want more battery (because TDP is lower) and almost same performance - choose 8200. PS. If u play a lot, or any other multimedia - definitely 9200 better.+4Mb L3 matters here.

It's actually significant in gaming, I can feel a major differences in smoothness on honkai star rail comparing my poco x6 pro and xiaomi 13t pro

I believe that the Dimensity 8300 is a beast in its segment. It's a remarkable chip that stands superior to the 9200 Plus in terms of the total Antutu score. We are getting the powerful Dimensity 8300 for 25k. What else do we need, friends?

Why should we choose the 8300 when the Dimensity 9200+ chipset phone also has a competitive price?

@Paul, can it stand superior to 9200+? Then why is it in the Poco variant? It should be in the 14T series. Is 1.3M better than 1.5M in Antutu? Funny.

I recently purchased the Dimensity 8300 phone and compared it to the Dimensity 9200+ in gaming. The Dimensity 8300 is good, but I found that the Dimensity 9200+ offers a much more stable FPS in Genshin. Interestingly, the 9200+ is 2-3% cooler than the 8300, for reasons I can't fathom. Therefore, in terms of gaming, the 9200+ should have a better rating than the 8300. To be honest, I feel the Dimensity 8300 has been a bit overhyped.

It's because of the overclocked CPU. The 3.35 GHz A715 will eat up battery, even for small tasks - and let's not even talk about HyperOS. It's not a bad chip, but It just hasn't been optimised yet - By Xiaomi.

It's definitely not underclocked at all. The 8300 has a higher clock speed in every core. The 3.35 GHz A715 might even surpass the X3 core, at 3.3 GHz, in terms of performance and efficiency. The rest of the CPU cores clock higher in the 8300. Also, in terms of GPU, they're similar - the 8300 GPU uses the same architecture as the 9200+ GPU. There might be around a 5-10% difference in GPU performance, but the 8300 is powerful and efficient.

I'm curious as to why the Dimensity 8300 is receiving more votes than the Dimensity 9200+. Considering the Dimensity 9200+ is definitely stronger compared to the Dimensity 8300, shouldn't it have more votes?

It's probably cheaper than the 9200 Plus and offers almost the same performance, in addition to being brand new.

The Dimensity 8300 is the underclocked version of the Dimensity 9200+. Therefore, it's a more optimized version. When comparing which is stronger and more stable, the Dimensity 8300 is a better choice. It's similar to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2, which is also an underclocked version. There's not a huge difference, but the stability is significantly better.

Matt, No, the 8300 is not an underclocked version of the 9200+ because the main core is not the same. The D8300 uses an A715 and the D9200+ uses a Cortex X3. This is unlike the 8+ Gen1 and 7+ Gen2, which use the same Cortex X2 version but a different GPU.

MasterIT, 8+Gen1 and 7+Gen2 form a single chipset. They simply change the GPU name so people won't have any doubt it's an underclocked version. The only difference is the CPU and GPU clock speed; the rest of the ISA, fabrication size, manufacturer, is the same. They did the same with 7+Gen3 and 8+Gen3. Do your homework.
