The user of Redmi note 10S (helio g95) and Redmi note 10 pro (sd 732G): When downloading 3D mark (from playstore) and opening it says that: RMN 10S outperforms 57% of all devices, while RMN 10 pro only 43% of all devices. This shows that g95 performs better in graphic demanding tasks, but when doing the 20 minutes of stress g95 heats 3°C more than sd 732G (stability: 99,5% for g95 and 99.6% for sd 732G). Thus, the 91% stability shown on this site is not accurate. Fps? Well: g95 has 7-14 while sd 732G has 5-10 (both 20 minutes stress tests). Conclusion? G95 performs better in gaming, but heats more because of higher GPU frequency and 6nm higher architecture...but still maintaining excellent performance!

Both chips are great depending on the use. I have Xiaomi redmi note 10S and my bro has redmi note 10 pro. Although helio g95 has more heating issues (than sd 732G which is a cool processor and no matter the usage it won't heat as much as g95), g95 provides me better gaming and multitasking performance, even faster app upload times. Also, sd 732G lags in some games (maybe bcs of the MIUI 13) but g95 shows a bit better performance at the same games. Yes, snapdragon supports 120hz, better camera analysis (in MP I mean) and it doesn't heat (believe me I played games 3 hrs in a row, and the phone didn't show any sign of heat) and better battery management. BUT the MediaTek processor, even though it heats easily, even when it's hot its performance in games, app memory management, and generally in phone experience is better than snapdragon (that's my opinion depending on the use I've done in both phones). ! Redmi note 10S has MIUI 12.5 enhanced (helio g95) ! Redmi note 10 pro has MIUI 13 (snapdragon 732G) To sum up, I think helio beats snapdragon in terms of performance, but the snapdragon beats the helio in terms of heating issues and features (like 120hz...)Time will show which chip is more reliable and most effective.

Izzi gaming, Yup, you're right, I've seen that g95 momentarily loses an average 2-6 fps in demanding games when exceeds 45°C. In general, g95 has a smoother processor than 732G (not a big difference, it will only be noticeable when you have both phones next to each other, check speed test videos on YT :) ).

I don't play heavy games, i am a casual user who uses social media and plays casual games sometimes. I just need a phone with good performance and decent camera. So just suggest me either of these phones under 18k.

Moto brand is better than Realme. Moto has stock android, but realme is loaded with Realme UI. You will get only natural photos on Moto, but not more options as in Realme. In now a days, Snapdragon chips comes with bug and company themselves accepted it and trying to clear all. But in Mediatek no more bugs has registered so far. My opinion is Buy Mediatek processing mobiles and don't update to next version of Android, because Mediatek has capable to manage in-built android version. Newer version may force the processor and may make mobile lag. But Snapdragon has capacity to manage newer version, also has in-built bug(think about this)

Vikki, Chips don't come with bugs. It's the UI. The only problems chips may have are heating issues or battery draining.

Pragma 28 November 2021 15:30
Vikki, Snapdragon has bugs and it mentions it publicly because they are working on fixing them. They also have Code Aurora Forum with Open source code. Mediatek has no bugs ( that people know ) because they don't tell anyone about the bugs. Heck, their drivers are not even Open source so nobody can check if it's secure or not. Hence big companies usually shy away from Mediatek chips in the west. When people ask them about it, they are "not ready yet". So which one is secure? A bank that says "our system is hacked, we are working on fixing it"? or the bank is hacked but nobody, not partners, is not customers are informed about it?

Pragma 28 November 2021 15:35
G95 > G96 (downgraded GPU) > 732G ( It's just higher clocked GPU than 720G) >= 720G But from what I've heard, not my own experience, G95 & G96 tends to throttle and heat up quickly. As for 720G and rest, They also have similar heating issues thanks to Samsung's 8nm issues. So gaming, MTK Everything else, SD

Smith, Have you heard about the Mi 11Lite lineup? The Mi 11 Lite 5G and NE, you know? the ones that ask 300$> for a 780G, AMOLED 90Hz, a sleek, thin, flatscreen design, a great camera with 4K@30 video recording, and a good enough battery with 33W charging. But I guess I'll go for a 400$ Samsung with a chipset that can't even compare; Cores? the 780 is equipped with 4 Cortex-A78 cores running at a whopping 2.4-2.2GHz, compared to the Dimensity's measly 2 running at 2.4GHz, and yeah sure, the MediaTek has a higher clock for their low-performance cores (6 Cortex-A55 @2GHz compared to the 780s 4 Cortex-A55 @1.9) but the difference is just petty and severely outweighed by the fact that the 780 has 4 high-performance cores instead of just 2. Process? the 780G has a 5nm process compared to the MediaTek's 6, the 780 also draws less power (5W vs 10W), and yeah sure, the Dimensity has the (by far)better memory on paper, but I call bull feces because it lost to the 780G in everything on Antutu (lost in the memory by a 10% difference!) ISP? SnapDragon chips had and still have the best ISPs in the market for lower-end phones, sure, the Dimensity has UFS3.1 support, but otherwise, they're identical. Your argument of SnapDragon being Expensive Is total and utter blasphemy, Xiaomi put a SnapDragon in their 250$> phones, and more recently in the 200$> Redmi Note 11, even Samsung managed to put a 778G into their ~400$ (MSRP) A52s (which you can now find for 300$>). Also, I'd define a lower-midrange phone as anything between 240-320euros, and a dimensity 900 is horrendous for anything near that.
