Many people here keep saying Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 outperforms Apple M series because of raw benchmark numbers. Sure. The scores already show that. But remember one thing: Apple M series is not just used in iPads. It’s also running full MacBooks with native desktop-class software. That means: full desktop apps, full desktop workflow, native AAA ports gaming, real virtualization, real Emulators, real ARM desktop experience. Meanwhile Snapdragon flagship chips are still mostly stuck in mobile ecosystems playing mobile-class games or relying on emulation via Winlator, Mobox, Termux, box86, QEMU and all those community projects. And if you want argue with me about Snapdragon ARM laptops were truly on the same level as Apple Silicon, why are only a few vendors confident enough to push Windows ARM laptops seriously? Because Windows on ARM is still nowhere near as mature as macOS on ARM. So stop comparing M-series to Android flagship chips only through benchmark numbers. Apple already proved their chips M series even now an A series also can scale from phones all the way to full desktop-class computing through the newest MacBook Neo series. Snapdragon definitely has insane power too. But right now? Most of that power still has no real platform to fully utilize it. So yeah… enjoy your 4m+ score just for emulators πŸ˜„

β€œPerformed as well as apples” where exactly ? The tests already show M4 is way better than 8 gen 5, and do not get me started on the software level optimizations Apple applied to M4. Go try playing resident evil 4 remake natively at full graphics at 60 fps on your emulator

Bro you guys just quit it , stop glazing apple too much for the ipad air m4 it cost 1500$ ( in my country) where nowadays we can emulate cyberpunk in 1080p natively trough emulation in a phone which has better bigger battery ( 10, 000 mah ) ( honor win ) my phone ;) at 549$ , What can you ask for more for which price it outperform almost any laptops ( igpu laptops ) in that price and has way better camera and display 😐 than any iphone or ipad......

People who call Snapdragon being the worst are truly worthy of being the clown for the retirement home that even failed the test from the security guard. Snapdragon OVERTAKES Apple chipsets now and they have done it since the release of the 8 Gen 3. Sorry but your statements are invalid and all your comments are meaningless. Sybau kid

Apple Trash, Snapdragon 8gen 3 isn’t even stronger than the m1 lil bro πŸ₯€. The m4 still scales far higher than the 8elite gen 5 both in performance and raw power tested by multiple games dude. Stop glazing snapdragon πŸ₯€

That's because the M4 has 4 power cores, and 5 efficiency cores, and is used for tablets and laptops, where there is greater scope of cooling... If you gave the 8 elite gen 5, 4 power cores and 4 efficiency cores, instead of 2 power cores and 6 efficiency cores, it would outperform the M4... Not to mention, there's wattage limits as well, and the 8 elite gen 5 has better performance per watt... And last but not the least, M4 is simply not the competition target of Qualcomm... It's now Snapdragon X Elite's 2nd iteration vs M5 series... Whenever that will come out...
