How are you 7 uses much less power and the minuscule performance bump does basically nothing. Also 9 is much more $$$

Andrew, I bought the ultra 9 today, which is cheaper than the ultra 7, which is 30% more expansive.

Ultra 9 wins but it consumes far greater watts of power, and it also cost significantly more than Ultra 7. That small level of performance increase with that large cost and consumption of power is not worth it. But if money isn't a problem for you, you should surely choose Ultra 9.

Haseeb, Your case its just anectotal evidence. For normal pricing the core ultra 9 is just a binned ultra 7. If you have wattage limits the core 9 ultra is essentially a useless upgrade.
