D 8100 are good for long play, while SD 8 Gen 1 is almost near as a15 bionic that heats up after a few minutes of play, maybe because they have a poor cooling system unlike D 8100, so it's more stable on fps than SD 8 Gen 1, since when phone heats up, fps drops start to appear and might lower the performance of the phone, so I'll go for the D 8100 since it's more stable than SD 8 Gen 1 which is faster than D 8100, but poor cooling system optimization which is the cause of fps drops.

Even though Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is Overpowering Dimensity 8100 but still a big "Mess". Dimensity 8100 is the Most Stable Chipset I have ever seen on Android (almost beating A15 Bionic) sacrificing Chipset Raw Power over Stability Mediatek really did an awesome strategy. Some Critics will say "Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 AnTuTu and Benchmarks scores destroyed Dimensity 8100 so how would you explain that your underdog the Mid to High end SoC is a clear winner?" 1. Stability - 97% Stability on Android? never seen that on a higher level SoC it means that it would be less prone to frame drops although producing 34 Fps on its highest raw performance it doesn't matter at all because there are also some reasons why they lower its raw performance (Not a Mediatek Fan but never seen this stable) 2. Optimization - No Debate! Mediatek Dimensity 8100 wins using TSMC which is the best fabrication for optimization while Snapdragon's 8 Gen 1 on Samsung 4nm which is kinda new for Samsung that's why they struggle to be optimized and they are under the A13 Bionic which is a bit shame for Snapdragon. 3. Raw Performance - Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 uses 1x X2, 3x A710, 4x A510 setup while Dimensity 8100 uses old 4x A78, 4x A55 Setup. Yes, 100% Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is a Clear winner but how did Dimensity 8100 win this category? well first is the "fabrication", Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 on Samsung did score low below A13 Bionic in Single to Multicore while Dimensity 8100 consistently on a high mark the same level as A15 Bionic. The main reason why Dimensity 8100 wins as it doesn't produce too much heat so it will generate more fps. Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 moreover focuses on Raw Performance but it sacrifices the thermal which it heats up and gains higher thermal temperature.

Someone commented on Telegram he ask "Why do some Dimensity 8100 Phones overheat after I watch a video on youtube where a Realme GT Neo 3 spikes to 48°C on CPU Stress Test? So I said There are different factors in each Phone Brands customizing its default kernel "Governor, Scheduler and I/O" to their Chipset" as you guys have watched a particular video the Realme GT Neo 3 GPU Governor are at "Performance" it means that the GPU is in a Maximum Graphical Power ("Consistently the System Load always 99%") that's why its temperatures spikes compare to some phones who uses "Schedutil" which is balance Power/Efficiency ratio. Be specific on buying a Device.

SoC Fanboy, Bro just gonna ask. Are you perhaps the guy that I saw on youtube that is working on the geekerwan channel?I mean bro I really do agree that d8100 is far better especially when it comes to power efficiency...May not really have the same performance but it's like comparing a high-fire rate gun with an ammo of 30 to a gun with a medium fire rate with also an ammo of 30. Sd 8 Gen 1 is fast but heats up and gets low quickly but the d8100 has a medium fire rate that balances all it's aspects which makes it far more efficient.

Based on an in-depth analysis by "Geekerwan". He found out that Mediatek Dimensity 8100 has the highest Multi-Core Power Efficiency Performance 3x! Heard it right! 3x! over the ordinary Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Snapdragon's collaboration with "Samsung Fabrication" makes their flagship performs very worse than "TSMC". And in the 2nd Analysis test now is the Fabrication it found out that the TSMC Cortex A-78 of Dimensity 8100 is at the top 1 of the highest performing efficient Core much higher than the latest TSMC Cortex A-710!? Cortex is a Culprit!!!. While Samsung's Cortex A-78 used by Snapdragon 888 and 8 Gen 1 performs very worst on the analysis. Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 on the other hand bounces back to TSMC Fabrication and now performs the same as Mediatek Dimensity 8100 Conclusion: Don't buy Snapdragon 888 and ordinary Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 phones they have Samsung Fabrication which performs worst than Mediatek Dimensity 8100 with TSMC I saw the analysis and I laugh! Snapdragon Scammed by Samsung

I never tried nor use any Mediatek Dimensity 8100 device but I would say this is the best Chipset of 2022 as an Underdog Flagship really a Fight Back of Mediatek over Snapdragon.

What about shading units...? I've seen in most of the cases that Snapdragon has more shading units than dimensity even if it is 8+gen 1 or dimensity 9000+

Benchmarks don't tell you the *actual* performance. Why I prefer D 8100: • Does NOT throttle (unlike sd8gen1 which would start at 60fps, and after just 6-8mins it'll start heating the device and there will be fps drop waves, like suddenly 50 then 42...) • Better AI enhancement (camera related) • Cheaper than sd 8 gen 1 Personally, I'm waiting for sd7gen1. Maybe a direct competitor of D8100?

As per leaks (not 100% proven) 7 gen 1 is based on Samsung node (so you know what will happen) 7 gen 1 is way weaker than 8100 as per benchmarks 7 gen 1 is around 765g -778g (Not 100% proven, those are all based on leaks )

Dimensity chipsets is not optimized by the developers as you only get smooth hight balanced high and HD high in pubg mobile ☠️

Hey when sd860 was at the beta testing it only gave smooth + ultra Meanwhile, G90T gave smooth+extreme So use your logic and Analyse your self (Yeah 860 can support 90fps now so don't @ me for that, it's about beta testing)

Ah yes, the pubgm settings that can easily be altered by custom rom, gfx, etc. Well then in that case G90T unlock ultra HD with custom rom 870 on base doesn't have ultra HD G90T > 870 Lmao see that's a very dumb logic Don't use graphic settings to determine a better chipset

That's a stereotype, which can't be applied to the entire industry, I seriously feel no difference in using either of those SOCs, I still play CODM on my phone with the same ease as it was on 1st week (my phone runs on Helio G90T) in October 2019, haven't seen any difference not any lag in regular use. Even if it does then it's not the processor, it's the continuous increase in app size.

It's sad that the device made for 'high performance and top-level gaming' can't even sustain a good avg fps While 8100 which was supposedly made to compete against 870/888 is giving ' high performance and top-level gaming' Go check golden reviewer (yt) if you don't believe ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Andrew, The snapdragon performs exceptionally but the game for a bit longer than thing throttles hard these new phones with the biggest chipsets don't have good cooling systems. That's the issue just raw performance snapdragon 8gen 1 destroys everything don't even try to compare.

Vibhav, Redmagic says no(one of the best cooling mechanism can't handle 8gen1) Now Dimensity 8100 with decent cooling can easily destroy 8gen1 So yea "don't even try to compare" 8100 with 8gen1

Ignoring the benchmarks, the dimensity is better efficient and doesn't heat. In the long fps test and all. Dimensity would surely perform better.
