What about third-party developer support? Mediatek still won't share its source codes so it's impossible to get good custom ROMs. I will buy Snapdragon any day, and YES, even if MTK is cheaper. I simply get more customization options with SD. I believe that if I own a phone, it's up to me to decide what to install in it, not the SoC developer.

Ngure, Pls, explain how is mtk not sharing its source codes and not allowing custom ROMs. And how do u get custom ROMs. (I really need one). Do I really need a snapdragon?

I don't know, Naaahhh, don't even try it. Mediatek was not giving the source code from them to avoid hackers and keep protected the privacy of the user. Like what the bionic chipset did for a couple of years. The bionic chipset was not sharing their own open-source code to avoid cracking their phone and keep safe their consumer.
