The phone with MediaTek 6080 is cheap and runs smoother than Snapdragon 695. It has bigger storage, RAM, and more megapixels in the camera. Additionally, it has a 120Hz display.

A device using the Snapdragon 695 might also have the specifications you mentioned. On the other hand, the Snapdragon 695 has higher CPU and GPU performance.

A lower price-to-performance ratio doesn't necessarily make the D6080 better. This comparison is purely about performance, regardless of price.

The Snapdragon 695 is superior to the Dimensity 6080 in terms of both CPU and GPU performance. It uses the ARM Cortex-A78 CPU architecture, in contrast to the Dimensity 6080's ARM Cortex-A76. While the Dimensity 6080's CPU operates at a higher frequency, the Snapdragon 695's CPU architecture trumps it with the power of the Cortex-A78. Additionally, the Snapdragon 695's GPU, the Adreno 619, houses more shading units in comparison to the Dimensity 6080's Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The Mali-G57 MC2 may have higher frequency, but the Adreno 619 bears more shading cores with superior FP32 performance. Due to this, the Adreno 619 delivers better graphical performance than the Mali-G57 MC2. In general, the Snapdragon 695 triumphs by being more powerful in most respects. The Dimensity 6080, while highly praised, is overpriced compared to the Snapdragon 695. In fact, the Dimensity 6080 is nearly on par with the Helio G99, which contradicts its 'Dimensity' label in my opinion.

It's not about the specs of the chip, it's all about affordability. A lot of smartphones with the SD 695 chip are overpriced, while the D6080 smartphone can easily be bought for less than $200. This makes the D6080 a better buy. Furthermore, the D6080 is the lowest-end 5G-capable chip that MediaTek offers. It should be compared with the Snapdragon 4th Gen 1 or the 480+ 5G; it shouldn't be compared to the SD 695. If you're planning to buy a smartphone with a 695 chip, it would be wise to check for alternatives. For the same price, you can get a D7050 or a D8020.

Ally Jane, I got a low budget phone for around $80 and it has 128gb and 6gb ram with the D6080 chip. Only problem is the phone lacks some features but those things aren't noticeable or things that are really need so u get the full power of the chip with a big battery 5000mah for a hd+ display downside

Ally Jane, Nowadays, it's difficult to find most devices using the Dimensity 6080 at affordable prices; there are even devices using the Snapdragon 695 that are more affordable than those using the Dimensity 6080. Especially in areas like battery efficiency, the Snapdragon 695 offers better performance-efficiency compared to the Dimensity 6080.

I believe Snapdragon 600 series processors are adequate for running most applications. As a basic user, I mostly use office apps such as Outlook, Word, Adobe, and Slack, alongside some banking apps and a few games. The Moto G34, launching in a few days in India on January 17, 2024, is the most affordable phone equipped with this SD 695 processor. It's more affordable than the D6080 phone. I hope to see more phones like this in the future.

Imagine creating a processor that's even worse than the 695. It's hard to believe that even in 2024, we're getting processors that are inferior to a mid-range model from 2019.

The issue stems from Snap 695 not permitting video streaming or capturing beyond 1080p.

The Snapdragon 695 is practically better in every way. Can someone enlighten me on why the Dimensity 6080 was widely voted better?

Mostly, it's because of the people who are using it. Nobody wants their processor to be considered inferior. πŸ˜‚ Some people may have voted for it because it has a 2.4GHz clock speed. Alternatively, it could just be MediaTek employees who are voting for their own product.

I believe it's primarily because smartphones that utilize D6080 are much more affordable.
