Y'all should update the benchmark scores. My secondary which is the redmi note 12 pro 5g is scoring consistently a little bit better in geekbench 6 in single core. Also the antutu score is much higher than what it shows here

No one in this comment section has used Redmi Note 13 pro 5g housing the SD 7s gen 2. Samsung node is far more better and stable than you think. Even Samsung 5nm node is very competitive against tmsc 4nm Dimensity 1080

Nah, Samsung is much better when it comes to nodes, nowadays. 4 nm is pretty competitive.

"The 7s having half the memory bandwidth is huge if true. That makes the chip considerably slower in a lot of scenarios."

The Dimensity 1080 performs well for daily usage and supports high graphics gaming (30/60 fps depending on the game). I haven't encountered any overheating issues with it yet when it's in the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, so hopefully, it will continue to perform well for a long time.

7s gen 2 is manufactured by Samsung, not TSMC. That's a major drawback.

I agree that Samsung chips tend to overheat and subsequently, the performance drops. Therefore, I prefer the Dimensity 1080 over the 7th Gen 2.

Sayam, Yeah I completely agree. Though the 7s Gen 2 has an edge in CPU and GPU performance, the fact it's manufactured by Samsung is enough to turn me off lol. Sticking with my D1080-enabled device, no regrets.
